Peter Scheer

“You have to be all-round in the caribbean.”

Since 1996, Peter shuttled back and forth between the Netherlands and Curaçao. In 2002 he and his wife finally made the decision to leave the Netherlands and settle down on Curaçao. Since the year 2007 Peter is part of the core of ACS. “Willo and I are former colleagues. When he asked me to come work for him, I didn’t hesitate for a moment to accept his offer. Willo is a hard worker who I appreciate a lot.”

As Senior Technician, Peter is responsible for the maintenance of several IT environments of different ACS clients. He likes to start early in the morning, at 7am. “I always wake up early and I like to know if everything runs smoothly. Prevention is better than cure.” He likes the diversity of his work, but is most interested in migration projects.

As an experienced technician Peter likes to share his knowledge with less experienced professionals, but he also learns a lot from his younger colleagues. “The IT sector develops incredibly fast, it takes a lot effort to keep up.” How does he stay up to date? “With Google and our Friday afternoon drink at the office.”
